Service Description

Class Focus This class is communication-based and designed to support children from 12 to 24 months in reaching key language and social milestones. Through play, songs, interactive reading, and caregiver-guided activities, children will: Expand their vocabulary Practice first words and early phrases Develop gestures and nonverbal communication Improve listening and attention skills Encourage turn-taking and social interaction Milestones We’ll Work On Here are some examples of what your kiddos will be practicing in this age range: 12–15 months Saying first meaningful words (“mama,” “ball,” “bye”) Responding to simple instructions Pointing to objects of interest Showing understanding of familiar routines 16–18 months Combining gestures with words (“up please”) Using 10–50 words Engaging in simple pretend play Imitating sounds and simple words 19–24 months Combining 2–3 words (“more juice,” “go car”) Following 2-step directions Asking for objects or actions (“want cookie”) Using gestures and words together to communicate needs Beginning to use pronouns (“me,” “you”) Parent Involvement Caregivers are actively included, learning strategies to: Expand vocabulary at home Encourage turn-taking and attention Model simple phrases and gestures
